New Album, out March 21

My Morning Jacket has just announced a fresh record. Due out on March 21 through ATO, the rock group’s tenth album is called “Is.” The mixtape is helmed by the song “Time Waited.” The single recently arrived with a music video which is directed by the talented Danny Clinch and incorporates archival photos as well as performance footage from the group. Formed in 1998, My Morning Jacket is composed of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster.

This latest album is the followup to 2021’s self-titled album. “Is” is produced by the Grammy-winning visionary Brendan O’Brien who is recognized and adored around the world for his work with music legends, such as Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam. My Morning Jacket frontrunner Jim James has recently announced that he is relinquishing control to somebody else. “Up until now I’ve never been able to let go and allow someone else to steer the ship,” Jim James said in a statement. “It almost felt like an out-of-body experience to step back and give control over to someone who’s far more accomplished and made so many more records than us, but in the end I was able to enjoy the process maybe more than I ever have before.”

My Morning Jacket Is On Tour

This April, My Morning Jacket will be embarking on a super exciting road trip across North American tour. The highly anticipated trek will begin in Chattanooga, Tennessee and include a 5 night homecoming appearance at Louisville Palace. In May, the band will play at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. My Morning Jacket Is On Tour resumes on August 5 in Bend, Oregon and boasts a couple of dates at Morrison, Colorado’s world class Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as an August 22 concert at Berkeley, California’s famous Greek Theatre. A third leg starts on October 8 in Washington, D.C. and includes appearances in Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Chicago.
