With additional shows in Michigan, Maryland, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, and California, Mitski has extended her North American tour.
The singer’s 2024 tour in support of her most recent full-length album, "The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We" will kick off in Miami on January 26. Tamino, Sunny War, Julia Jacklin, Cowboy Junkies, and Sarah Kinsley are some of her special guests across the trek. August will see her performing with Arlo Parks, Ethel Cain, Laufey, Wyatt Flores, and the Japanese band Lamp.
A new leg of the tour will start later this fall and end on September 26 instead of the original one, which was scheduled to end in Tennessee on April 13.
Her seventh studio album was released in September last year. She offers her trademark sensitive pop throughout 11 tracks, complete with melodic guitar, loving choruses, and poignant lyrics. A fan favorite is a song called "Bug Like An Angel," which is both intimate and grand. Highlights also include the opulent "Heaven," the vocally daring "I Don't Like My Mind," and the jazzy runaway hit "My Love Mine All Mine," which soon rose to the top of Spotify's song stream count. Having said that, not a single one of them is a dud. Mitski lets the listener into her world by alternating between being thoughtful, nervous, and furious.
For the show at the Greek Theatre Berkeley, Mitski will be joined by special guest Wyatt Flores.
“In our efforts to make the show experience extra special, we found beautiful, seated theaters to play over multiple nights, rather than one giant venue per city, in the hopes of offering a more intimate experience to the audience,” Mitski shared on Instagram.
You can get tickets for Mitski’s performance in Berkeley as early as today if you want to hear her 2023 album "The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We." You can expect her to perform other hits like "Nobody," "Washing Machine Heart," and more too.
